This February, we we’re named one of the best yoga studios in Lake County by CBS News.  It’s always nice to get noticed for all the hard work we put it here at the studio and also for all the wonderful students we are so blessed to teach each and every day.

Often, it isn’t that chocolate chip cookie that’s keeping us from really feeling healthy; rather it’s the stress that comes from the guilt of eating the cookie or the stress from the day that drove us to the cookie in the first place!

One healthy living tip busy moms often neglect is stress relief. We say it’s because we don’t have time to sit down and breathe, rest and relax when we’re performing as chauffeur, short-order cook, house keeper and referee all day long. And I get that. I make those same excuses, too.

That’s where yoga comes in. Not only is yoga based on beneficial movements for your body, it’s also centered around breathing, which is an art in itself that leads to stress reduction.

Here are some yoga studios in Lake County, IL worth giving a whirl.

The Dailey Method Lake Forest

(847) 283-9000
188 E. Westminister / Lake Forest, 60045

This isn’t your typical yoga class, but it’s well worth mentioning because of its incorporation of yoga and its focus on strength building and stress relief! The Dailey Method combines barre ballet, yoga and Pilates to create a total body sculpting work out that focuses on breathing out the negative and breathing in the positive. Though the method is challenging, the instructors at Lake Forest are absolutely wonderful about giving new students help and encouragement.
